The Kindness Factory is on a mission to make the world a kinder place, focusing its initiatives on communities and schools, along with funding valuable research and insights into kindness, collaborating with like-minded people and organisation's who share the same passion for kindness.
The Kindness Curriculum was launched in May 2020, with 69 schools adopting the program. Today, over 3,000 schools across Australia are accessing the curriculum which has been developed in conjunction with Kaplan.
The video series provides activities that teachers can utilise in classrooms to address and explore social-emotional learning and pro-social skills that support overall wellbeing in children. The program was developed from scientific studies, showcasing that kindness has both physical and emotional benefits, encouraging well-rounded individuals.
After the success over the last two years, The Kindness Factory will launch the Kind School Network pilot in 80 schools around Australia (which equates to over 30,000 students). The Network pilot, which has been produced by the team at Visual Domain, is bringing schools together to more effectively deploy the Kindness Curriculum.
Daniel Goldstein, Visual Domain co-founder said “We’re so thrilled to be working on this campaign, The Kindness Curriculum aligned perfectly with the core values of Visual Domain. Being able to help share information on kindness and the different attributes that underpin this is an opportunity we couldn’t pass on and something we are so proud to be a part of”.
Visual domain worked alongside the team to create 12 x 10 minutes videos, which will act as the masterclasses for teachers across the country. Each video will be profiling one of the 12 attributes which underpin kindness, this includes:
- Collaboration
- Compassion
- Empathy
- Gratitude,
- Honesty,
- Humility,
- Humour,
- Mindfulness meditation,
- Perspective,
- Positivity,
- Self-Acceptance
- Trust.
